Visitors Center

Everyone should make plans to at least once visit the Visitor's Center located at the Washington DC Temple. When it is decorated for Christmas would be an ideal time. This is such a beautiful statue.

Lincoln Memorial

I have been around, or near, the Lincoln Memorial several times, but today was the first time I have ever gone up to the stature and inside to read the many facts and inscriptions there. It was wonderful and an exceptional day - the only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been to have my family or friends there with me.

AND..the view of the Washington Monument from atop the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial was fantastic!

Remembering

I have never visited the Korean War Memorial before today, and it truly made me give thanks for the many men and women who have fought in the many, many wars to help maintain the freedom of men. We complain so easily, forget so quickly, and take things for granted.
We owe so much to so many. Thanks to them and to their families and posterity. And may God bless and be with our military serving today.

Washington DC Temple

The whole building scene was taken Oct. 1, on a cloudy day.
The other two pictures were taken Oct. 7 on a most perfectly georgeous day. The sun was shining so brightly on the Angel Moroni that I had to stand there and just enjoy it for a while. I will never tire of seeing this lovely temple and am so blessed to be living where I can now attend weekly.

Happy....

Once again I am the proud and happy owner of a Library Card, and I have ten books here in my room to prove it. A good book is as comforting as a dear friend.
