White House Garden Tour

Lilia, Milagras, and I went on the White House Garden Tour this morning. It was a nice break.

Several pretty sights and a darling water fountain.

Youth friendly basketball net; I could probably make that net, the Obama girls swing set, chairs in the children's garden and the last two of Michelle Obama's vegetable, or kitchen, garden. I wish I had a garden like that along with the people to work it.

It was a very pleasant day. The wind was blowing, but it was mid 60's and very nice.

That was the Marine Band playing.

The view as we were leaving the White House grounds, the Eisenhour house, and one very happy, fat squirrel!

Miss my "Buttercups"

This just made me think of all the pretty spring flowers back in South Boston. Aren't these pretty? They smelled good also.

Armed Forces Retirement Home

I carried Doris Jones home from church yesterday. She lives in the Armed Forces Retirement Home and I thought the trees and the deer there were just beautiful!

Lizzie in the Park

There is a park around the block from the Guzman's, so Lizzie and I took a walk the other day. I hope we get to go often.

It's Spring and Cherry Blossom Time

I almost waited until all the blooms were gone, but I actually drove down to the Tidal Basin area to check out the cherry blossoms today.

Cherry Blossoms in Washington

It was such a beautiful day and I took a nice walk. The traffic was not too bad; I was there around noon.
