Inside my old home

Oh, it looks so good. They have moved the commode and put in a new sink in the main bathroom; they did not change the bath in the master bedroom.
The french doors that use to be in the dining room now cover the washer/dryer space and they have completely redone the kitchen. Boy, would I have loved to have had all that counter space!

White Oak Drive landscaping

They have removed the tree stumps, moved the storage shed (which looks much better and hides some of the growth) and cut down the old locust in the back and beside the drive. Everything looks so good and two of the stray cats are still there. The lady next door is feeding them. Yeah!
Oh, they have also painted the carport floor and added central heat and air.

My Old House

Had the opportunity to go by and see my old home. It really looks nice and I am thankful to see it as I would liked to have been able to do myself. I hope someone purchases it soon and will grow to love the house and the area as much as I did.

South Boston Branch

Since I had an appointment for a checkup at Duke Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Clinic last week, I decided to go down to South Boston for a visit with dear friends on the way. Marion and I were able to "tour" the new branch building and it is very, very pretty. When the gentleman turned on the recessed lighting that will be behind the stand, I was in tears. What a blessing this building will be.

South Boston Branch

Exterior, large classroom and baptismal font of the new building. Everything is so very pretty.

Hope Diamond

My favorite exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History was the well guarded Hope Diamond. It is 45.52 carats and is surrounded by 16 white diamonds. The necklace chain contains 45 more white diamonds!

National Museum of Natural History

On October 18th, William, Elisa, Phillip, and Jamie came up to visit and we toured the National Museum of Natural History. I find it hard to believe that I failed to take my camera, so when I visited William and family last weekend, I got him to give me copies of his pictures.
